The Ins & Outs of January (and a little tip that might clear up your skin)

Hey everyone! I feel like its been too long since I’ve done a real post. But I am back with many new ones coming up. Makeup looks anyone? I love doing tutorials. But first, it is time for Ins & Outs. As always..I have many Ins and hardly any outs. I was thinking of switching to doing Favorites posts, but I think it is important to share products that are not good with you, so you know what not to buy. So lets get started..

Ins:

MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural in Light Medium as foundation. I have been working on getting my skin fixed lately so I laid off the liquid foundation. I used to use the MSF Natural as a setting powder, which it works great for. But the coverage is so amazing, but still light, it works great as a light foundation. It does great at covering redness and blemishes, but not the best at covering freckles. I really don’t need much coverage. I find that when I use a heavy coverage foundation, I get acne, then I need more foundation, and its just a bad cycle. So I have stopped using it, and eventually I do not need all the coverage when my skin clears up. Try it, it works! I have already seen a difference, no clogged pores!

Sonia Kashuk Super Sheer Liquid Tint in Peony. I love this gel blush!

L’Oreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense liquid liner

Seche Vite Dry Fast Topcoat. I would put this in every favorites if I could! Pure amazing.

Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser. This is so gentle and really evens out my complexion. This has helped clear up my skin.

Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner. I used to use the Clear Pore Toner, which I liked, but I find that the alcohol ones dry my skin out too much. If you have oily skin, you could probably use it.

Olay Active Hydrating Cream Original. No need for all those fancy face creams. This is plain and basic and works. I use it at night since it is thick, and no more dryness!

Garnier Fructis Style Curl Sculpting Cream-Gel. I like to use this before mousse to shape my curls and make them soft. I could get away with just using this too if I want soft natural curls.

Outs:

Maybelline Stylish Smokes in Amethyst Smokes. I had a lot of hope for this because all the rave about the Smokes Quads. But the quality was not the best. I don’t know if it was just the color that I got, but the lid color does not go on well and is not that pigmented. I do like this, but it is just not what I expected. I got this to do a purple smokey tutorial on, which I will still do, but just know it is not amazing, but okay.

I’d love to know what worked for you all and what didn’t. Comment below!
