This unusually cold spring has left me feeling dull and wishing for summertime even more. One type of fruit that always makes me feel like its summer are tropical fruits. Pineapple is packed with health benefits including: improved digestion, cold fighting properties, and immune boosting. Mangoes are one of my all time favorite fruits, and they are best when they are soft and easy to peel. This smoothie will jumpstart you in the morning, keep you full, and leave you feeling like summer is just around the corner.
Here’s what you need:
- 1/2-1 cup Fresh pineapple chunks
- 1/2-1 whole mango (or frozen chunks)
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 orange of your choice (I used tangerines)
- Yogurt of your choice (I use vanilla since it adds sweetness, although plain greek is healthier)
You can adjust the portions of fruit depending on which flavor you want to be more prominent. I personally prefer more mango than pineapple.
Blend ingredients in a high-speed blender like the Magic Bullet.
