VIDEO: How to Make Money on Youtube – Youtube Advice Series

This next video in the Youtube Advice Series is all about How to Make Money on Youtube. Nothing is better than being able to do something you love, reach tons of people and help them, and make money on the side. There are multiple ways to earn revenue from owning a youtube channel or a blog.

• Monetize your videos. This is the most common and easiest way to make money on Youtube. Enabling monetization will allow youtube to place ads on your videos, and in turn, they will give you a portion of the earnings through Adsense. The more views your video gets, the more money you make. Click here to learn more about monetization.
• You can also join a multichannel network. Your Adsense will be taken over by the network, and they will pay you directly based on the amount of views. Often times the network will take a portion of your earnings, and you will be in a contract with them for a predetermined amount of time. Click here to learn more about multichannel networks.
• Earn commission on product sales. Whenever you mention a product, include an affiliate tracking link. The advertiser will pay you a portion of the sales. See the video for more info on this. It is important to be open and honest with your viewers and disclose if you are affiliated with brand. Never try to push products on viewers to make commission. If you are interested in joining a brand’s affiliate program, visit their website and look for a link called “affiliates” or “affiliate program” at the bottom of their site. • Amazon Associates
• Commission Junction
• Impact Radius
• LinkShare
• ShareASale
• Pepperjam
• ShopSense (gives you tracking links for any advertiser)
• Paid sponsorships. Often times, brands will offer compensation in exchange for a product review or mention. These are usually fixed rates determined by the company, but sometimes they will ask you what you “charge”. This is should be a fair number based on the amount of traffic your blog or Youtube channel receives. Just like when earning commission, it is extremely important to be open and honest with your viewers. Never accept a sponsorship just for the money if you don’t care for the product.
