VIDEO: Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow Gel Review & Waterproof Test

When I got word Maybelline was releasing a waterproof brow product, I was so excited because I struggle with my brows since they are much lighter than my hair. I’ve talked about this many times on my blog, and have even shared how I get my brows dyed at the salon in the summer to match my hair better. In the summertime, I don’t like to wear a lot of makeup and like to feel comfortable going makeup-free.

I purchased the Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow Gel in Medium Brown. It’s a tinted brow gel, so it fills in while taming the hairs. When applying, it’s best to wipe off the excess product on the brush to avoid applying too much. It also comes with a spoolie brush, which can be used to comb through and blend.

The Tattoo Studio Brow claims to be waterproof, and last up to 2 days. Of course I had to put it to the test, so after wearing it all day I dripped water over my brows and did not see any smudging or transferring.

I also removed my makeup (while avoiding removing the brow product), and washed my face like usual. I was shocked that I could still see the color on my brows, although some was worn away. The next morning I could still see the color on my brows.

Overall, I was extremely impressed by how long-wearing it was, and when applied properly it does a good job at filling them in and keeping the hairs tamed all day.
