If you recall my previous Olaplex video, I shared what Olaplex No. 3 take home treatment is, how to use Olaplex, and my before and after results on damaged, highlighted curly hair. My initial results were amazing, and my hair was noticeably healthier, more defined, and my curls were wayy tighter. It’s crazy how Olaplex can actually make your hair curlier, and my curls have transformed dramatically recently. They went from about a 3A or 3B to 3C curl pattern! I have a mixture of curl types, so I see many ringlet types, but since using Olaplex I’ve noticed more tight ringlets.
What is Olaplex No. 3?
Olaplex is a bond multiplier, that is used to strengthen broken bonds and improve the look and feel of any hair type. Olaplex treatments are done in the salon, typically when getting your hair lightened or highlighted. It’s often used to repair bleached hair. The Olaplex No. 3 is the take home step of the treatment, and what is used to maintain your hair strength.
It does NOT contain:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Phthalates
Can you use Olapex No. 3 on virgin hair, or without getting the salon treatment?
YES! The No. 3 take home treatment will still strengthen hair without color or bleaching.
How to use Olaplex No. 3:
See the video above. Apply to damp hair in sections, from root to tip (focusing on the ends). Let it sit for at least 10 minutes, perferrably 20 minutes. Shampoo and condition hair AFTER.
Olaplex No. 4 Shampoo and No. 5 Conditioner:
The No. 4 and No. 5 can be used after the treatment, and daily to maintain your hair strength. These do contain sulfates and silicones, so I prefer to not use them on my naturally curly hair. However, they would work well on straight hair.
