Wavy + Loose Curl Summer Routine That Actually Lasts

There's a good chance those stretched, stringy curls aren't a product problem. They're a clumping problem. What's actually happening: If your curls aren't coming back together, you probably need more water, not more product. If you're trying to scrunch multiple curls into one clump, you're straightening them out before they have a chance to form. The fix is separating what was never one curl to begin with, then encouraging movement instead of forcing it. That shake-and-bounce technique? Scrunching creates frizz. I think about it like getting used to wearing less makeup. You start small, you go out feeling a little exposed, and then slowly your eye adjusts. What felt messy starts to feel like just how your hair looks. And then one day you realize you are not reaching for the spray bottle out of habit anymore. That shift does not come from finding the right product. It comes from accumulating enough good hair days that your baseline expectation actually changes. If you are not there yet, that is okay!
