Stringy frizz or weighed down curls? You could be using the wrong amount of water when styling. I styled one side of my hair barely damp and the other soaking wet, same gel and same routine, so you can see exactly what each extreme does to your curls. Then I show you how I dial in the right amount at every step of my wash day.

Are You Using the Wrong Amount of Water When Styling Your Curls? | Curl Experiments

Do you have a bond repair treatment in your routine?
Email me the word GROUP at info@genamarie.co to learn more about the Group Coaching Program.

Most people think deep conditioning is enough to maintain healthy curls. But conditioning and bond repair do two completely different things.

Deep conditioners help with softness and manageability.

Bond builders help support the internal structure of the hair, which affects strength, elasticity, and long-term curl consistency.

And damage doesn’t just come from color.
It also comes from:
• detangling
• sun exposure
• friction
• everyday styling

Unless your hair lives in perfect conditions all the time, some structural support is usually helpful.

That’s why bond repair is one of the most reliable upgrades you can make to a routine.

Email me the word GROUP at info@genamarie.co to learn more about the Group Coaching Program. Join the waitlist for the upcoming winter program, which starts Dec 1.
