VIDEO: BECCA Ultimate Coverage Longwear Concealer Review +Giveaway!

BECCA just released their new Ultimate Coverage Longwear Concealer, and I’m excited to share with you how it worked for me. As many of you know from my tutorials, I have pretty oily eyelids. This is a new trouble of mine, and I find it hard to wear many concealers because they crease, settle into fine lines, and cause my eyeliner and/or mascara to smudge.

I don’t have terrible dark circles by any means, but working full time, blogging, freelancing, and being a new homeowner has to show itself somewhere, right? 😉 I have some blue/purple dark circles, and also many freckles around my eyes.

The BECCA Ultimate Coverage Longwear Concealer claims to be a “water-resistant, full-coverage concealer that camouflages under-eye dark circles, blemishes, and discoloration while smoothing the look of skin’s texture.”

The texture is pretty thick and “tacky,” which must be the “waterproof” aspect of the formula. You have to blend quickly, ideally one eye at a time.

Did it cover?

Yes! Amazing coverage! I was impressed with how easily it covered up my circles. It also works great on the face to cover up my acne scars and hyper-pigmentation. I prefer to use a liquid concealer though under my eyes.

Did it last?

I’ve put it to the test for over 12 hours of wear, and I have to say, it holds up nicely! I still have a tiny bit of settling into the fine lines under my eyes, but not anything unbearable especially for a thick concealer. The only time I don’t get this, is when I wear a very thin concealer. However the concealer still felt matte since I set it with powder.

Is it worth $29? 

I think so, if you struggle with dark circles or acne/skin pigmentation. It seems like the tube would last a long time since a little goes a long way. A good concealer is certainly worth the “investment” if you have dark areas to cover. I think this creamy formula would also work great on mature, aging skin.
