Review: Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream

So I was on the hunt for a new moisturizer. An deep moisturizer that is, like for night time. I am still completely loyal to my Jergens Natural Glow Face Moisturizer (click here to see a full review and results of that), I just wanted something for the winter dryness to use along with the Jergens.

Packaging: This comes in a somewhat heavy jar. You get a lot of product (4.6 ounces).

Price: Great buy! Only around $6-$8. Click the picture to the side to get it for cheap!

Texture:

This has the most unique texture for a moisturizer. Its pretty much just a gel. I don’t know why they put cream in the name because its only a gel. It’s very lightweight. Its a good moisturizer for oily skin. Its oil-free, not at all greasy, and does not leave a sticky residue. Its fast drying if you wanted to use it before applying foundation. After applying it, it feels very cool and refreshing.

Effectiveness: This has been working pretty good for me. I have dry skin with slight oil in my zone. I think if I had oily skin it would be perfect. However, I was looking for a little more moisturizing. I have been getting kind of dry lately on my forehead and cheeks, and it definitely helped that, but has not cured it.  I think I need more of a thick cream.

Do you all no of any moisturizer treatment type things for dry skin?

Overall: I would purchase this if I had oily skin or combination. It is effective and has a great texture.

Do any of you all have this moisturizer? What did you think?

XOXO,

Gena

  1. I've been thinking of getting this, but I would also like something more hydrating for dry skin. Can't wait to see if you find something! If you have dry undereyes Mario Badescu has great eye creams..I think I'm going to look there for a moisturizer too
