Holiday Gift Guide: Gifts for the Glamorous

My favorite part about the holidays is giving gifts to family and friends. Picking out things you just know they are going to love the best feeling. Sometimes finding the perfect gift can be tough, especially if they’re a beauty lover like me. There’s so many options out there and so many new things it’s just hard to pick. 

I’ve put together a short list of items that I think are great gifts for any beauty lover. They’re luxurious, fun, and will make anyone feel gorgeous. 

Perfume is always a great gift option. The Jessica Simpson Ten Perfume is the newest edition to her fragrance collection. It’s a blend of fruity, floral, sandalwood, and vanilla bean. I’m typically not a fan of vanilla, but it’s so subtle in this scent and the combination is heavenly. It’s definitely one of my new favorites! I can see everyone loving this fragrance. There’s also a set of gorgeous flash tattoos to match the Tenth Anniversary collection!

This unique tanning product is bound to wow any bronzed beauty! The Way Too Tan Dark Hybrid Tanning Silicone is the ultimate tanning lotion. It’s not only a great moisturizer, but acts as a self tanner and tan accelerator for indoor or outdoor tanning. It’s ideally for summer, however a bronze glow always gives me the boost I need in the dead of winter. With just one coat I get a nice natural tint to my skin. It’s not orangey one bit, and smells great! Check back soon for an updated review with before and after photos. 

Beauty lovers are known to experiment with different products, and foundation is always one of them! We’re always looking for the next best thing to fix our problems and make our skin look great. The Makeup Forever HD Foundation was developed for the film and TV industry so it looks soft in photos. It doesn’t contain SPF, so you won’t get that white, washed-out appearance in photos. Selfie approved!

Multi-purpose products are a must for gift giving. It’s like giving two gifts in one! And who doesn’t love a great lipstick? I’m a huge fan of lip crayons because they’re so easy to apply. The Laqa & Co Cheeky Lip Pencils can be used on your lips or as a blush. I have Humble Brag (matte rosy mauve/pink), Mixtape (bright red), and the Jolly Gee Whiz Lip Lube (sheer watermelon). The Jolly Gee Whiz is my favorite since it’s so wearable and moisturizing!

Low Maintenance Curly Hair Routine | Best Curlsmith Products for Travel
Struggling with flat roots and a lack of volume? Diffuse is key! 1. After applying styling products (gel or mousse is critical for hold), scrunch hair with a hair towel. ⭐️BONUS TIP: For extra hold and to tame frizz, apply another light glaze of gel or mousse after microplopping. 2. Flip hair upside down and plop it over a counter or other flat surface. Hover your diffuser around. No flat surface? Gently cup your hair in sections. This will prevent elongation. Hover the whole time if you want elongation. 3. Flip right side up and cup the ends of your hair in the diffuser and press up towards the head. Angle the diffuser towards your hair versus straight up to prevent frizz. 4. Use the prongs to lift the roots up and hold. Having a diffuser with long enough prongs that extend out past the end of the bowl is key! ⚠️This is why I don't recommend the Dyson because the prongs are not long enough and it gets way too hot. 5. After hair is dry, fluff out the roots and scrunch out the cast with dry hands. ⚠️ You can finish air drying if needed but wait to fluff after it's fully dry! Settings I use are high heat and low fan speed. I alternate to medium heat on the ends sometimes. This diffuser does not get too hot even on high!
