VIDEO: Testing New Maybelline Products – Review & Tutorial

Maybelline recently released several new product additions for the new year, including the Maybelline 24karat Nudes Palette, Master Precise Liquid Ink Eyeliner Pen, and the Colossal Big Shot Mascara. I’m putting them to test today and creating this smokey gold look that I wore out on New Years.

The Maybelline 24karat Nudes Palette is one of three palettes in the Nudes collection. It contains 12 shades of gold, bronze, and copper, with some neutrals mixed in. It has a variety of matte and shimmer finishes, all which are highly-pigmented and easy to blend.

The wear was fantastic for these, and I didn’t notice any creasing or fading when used with an eye base/primer.

Next is the Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Ink Eyeliner Pen, which has a 0.44mm point tip to create ultra-sharp winged liner. The color is a saturated black, that doesn’t feather when applying.

I also found the liner to be very long-wearing, and did not have any issues by the end of the night with smudging or fading.

Finally we have the Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara, which is their newest edition to the Colossal line. Only one coat is required with this mascara, and it provides bold volume and length. It’s brush contains five wells of wavy bristles that grab even your tiniest lashes. The collagen-filled formula is neither drying nor too wet, and holds a curl nicely.

I did not notice any flaking or smudging with this mascara, and found that my lashes still looked great by the end of the night.
