VIDEO: Covergirl Bloom Collection Review & Tutorial

As you all know, I’m all about honest reviews. Today, I’m sharing my thoughts on the new Covergirl Bloom Collection. The products have adorable pink packaging covered in spring flowers, so my expectations were high. However I have to say, I was a bit disappointed with this collection. Watch my video for a full review, but here’s a quick summary…

I started with the Covergirl Bombshell Pow-der Brow & Liner, which is a loose powder with a sponge applicator. It is intended to be used to fill in your brows or applied similar to a liquid liner, but in powder form. It comes in a four different shades as well. Unfortunately I could not get this product to work for me. There is no way it could be applied using the applicator without having a fall-out disaster. The powder is also loose and does not adhere very well. The only way I could use this product is with an angled liner brush.

Next I tested the new Covergirl Eyeshadow Quad in Stunning Smokeys. I thought the color combo of this palette was odd, considering it contains a bronze and a grey. When I applied all of the shadows it just looked off. The champagne had no color, and was just a fine glitter. The grey and black shadows were difficult to blend. The bronze was the only one that applied nicely.

Then I applied the Covergirl Full Lash Bloom Mascara, which I was pleased with. It is definitely more of a natural mascara, with a thin mousse-like formula. It does not leave your lashes feeling stiff or brittle. It did not clump up, and my lashes were separated and volumized. I did not get as much length as I’d like out of it, and I was not able to create really dramatic lashes or anything. If you’re someone who prefers a more natural look, you’ll love this one!

Lastly I tested the Covergirl Colorlicious Lipsticks, in Tantalize and Succulent Cherry. These I really enjoyed, and would highly recommend. I loved how smooth and pigmented the formula was, and super comfortable to wear. Keep in mind the Tantalizing shade is much more of a bright pink then a soft mauve that is shown in the image.

Tell me your thoughts! Have you tried any of these before, and did they work for you?!
