VIDEO: Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Lipstick Swatches & Review

The new Smashbox Be Legendary Lipsticks are described as for “Lips that get likes” and I couldn’t agree more. These are ultra-pigmented liquid lipsticks that come in both cream and metallic finishes. They’re thick, but not sticky, and go on smoothly in just one coat. They’re somewhat long-wearing, but you will need to re-apply a few times a day.

A few downsides, in my opinion: The shade range is definitely broad for bold colors, but there are only a handful of “natural” shades. I would have loved to see some more nude tones. Also for the metallic shades, some were not as smooth to apply as the others and I found them getting patchy on the inner rims of my lips. However, this could be because I was applying them after wiping my lips with a makeup remover wipe which could have left a bit of residue. A tiny bit of foundation or concealer brushed over the lips prior to applying would ensure a smoother application.

Overall, I loved the formula and insane pigmentation. There’s probably about 5 or so that I could see myself wearing on a daily basis.
